The songs he has written: Just Short Of The Line Two versions of this song have been released. The original version was to be found on Feller's first album from 1973, and on the re-release from 1974. In 1974, "Just Short Of The Line" also was released as a flip side of a single that had "The Credit Card Song" on the A side. The record company wanted a single release with two songs on it, but the producer didn't want what they called "a split record". So, he wanted to be sure that no radio dj's would play anything else but "The Credit Card Song". Therefore, the sound of a thundershower was added to the recording of "Just Short Of The Line", and the song was made even longer by repeating the verses. The thundershower didn't even have nothing to do with the words in the song! One of the studio technicians had recorded about 45 minutes of a stormy weather right outside the studio... "-Kind of a 6000 dollar joke", Dick Feller says about the single release.
